The words Neil Armstrong uttered as he stepped on to the lunar surface have been the inspiration for our two moon landing anniversary beers, available around the time of the half centenary of the Apollo 11 mission.
Swan Small Step is a 4.1% light golden, refreshing ale with Apollo for bittering and Eagle for out of this world piney, peppery aromas. It's a pale, planetary pleaser; a unique unworldly ale; a cool cosmic quencher; a splendid space slurper.
Join us to officially launch the two moon beers, to include sister-mission Swan Giant Leap, at the brewery on 5th July, 9am to 9pm, where there will be a wide selection of ales, local food, the Pearl Lake Ukulele Group playing from 7pm and a skittles competition during the afternoon.
**Nearly 50 years ago, the first manned moon landings took place in the Sea of Tranquility. Listening again to the 20th July 1969 recordings, we've now concluded that Neil Armstrong in fact proclaimed, "Swan Small Step for a brewer, Swan Giant Leap for brewing kind." Inspired by these words, we're brewing a pair of moon landings beers with these very names.**
